On 29 March 2026, Women’s Circus open the doors of the iconic Footscray Drill Hall for a lively Open Day celebrating creativity, confidence and community through circus arts. The free event invites visitors of all ages to step inside the training space and experience the world of social circus firsthand.
Throughout the day, guests will be able to try their hand at a range of circus skills, from aerials and juggling to acrobalance and other playful challenges. The welcoming atmosphere reflects the organisation’s long-standing mission to empower women, trans and non-binary people through performance, training and community engagement.
To help promote the event, Pressroom Philanthropy’s Moving Stories team has created a vibrant Instagram reel capturing the energy and excitement of circus training. This multimedia video offers a glimpse into the creativity, movement and moments of achievement that define the Women’s Circus community.
Events like the Open Day provide an inviting gateway into the world of social circus, where creativity, physical expression and mutual support come together. For those curious to step inside the circus space, the day promises a fun and inspiring introduction to a community where confidence can grow and new skills can take flight.
