The multi-day event brought together autistic advocates, community organisations, policymakers and sector leaders to share insights and explore opportunities for meaningful change.

As a charity committed to supporting autistic individuals and their families, Different Journeys helped highlight the importance of lived experience in shaping effective and responsive services.

Throughout the program, the organisation emphasised the value of peer support and community connection in fostering confidence, wellbeing and a sense of belonging. By centring the voices of autistic people and their families, Different Journeys continues to advocate for approaches that are inclusive, respectful and grounded in real-world experience.

Autism@Parliament also provided an important opportunity to engage directly with decision-makers, helping to strengthen awareness and encourage more inclusive policies and systems. The conversations reinforced the need to recognise the diversity of autistic experiences and to ensure that support frameworks reflect this complexity.

By participating in this important forum, Different Journeys continues to champion a future where autistic individuals are supported, understood and empowered to thrive within their communities.
