Thanks to the help of Pressroom Philanthropy with decorating the space, The Lighthouse Cafe is more than just a place to eat and drink.

It offers a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where community members can connect, access support, and experience genuine hospitality. Reflecting the Salvation Army’s long-standing commitment to community care, the cafe aims to be a point of connection for people who may be experiencing vulnerability, isolation or hardship, while remaining open and welcoming to all.

“Every Victorian deserves dignity, respect and support to get back on their feet. We’re making Footscray safer for everyone, connecting vulnerable people with the supports they need.”
