A Morning of Inspiration at the SisterWorks International Women’s Day Breakfast

On Thursday 5 March 2026, SisterWorks in association with Minderoo Foundation hosted its annual International Women’s Day Breakfast at Melbourne Town Hall, bringing together community leaders, supporters and partners to celebrate the achievements of women from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.

The special event marks International Women's Day and highlights the powerful stories of women who have built new opportunities through SisterWorks’ programs.

Through enterprise, training and community support, the organisation helps women gain confidence, develop skills and establish pathways to economic independence.

Guests attending the breakfast heard inspiring stories from members of the SisterWorks community, learning more about the social enterprises work creating meaningful employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for women rebuilding their lives in Australia.

The morning was both uplifting and impactful, celebrating the resilience, creativity and determination of women who continue to strengthen their communities while shaping new futures for themselves and their families.

Pressroom’s Moving Stories team proudly produced a video that was played for the audience on the day.
